Been playing banjo off and on for a few years.Β I’ll never master it, but it’s fun trying to fool people I know something.
Anyway this song was inspired by Flatt & Scruggs and an old Outlaws song too.
Completely different, I know… but I’m trying to fit it all in!
Love-Jude π
Fantastic!
I like it! I watched a jam session somewhere online that had a bunch of Banjo pickers old and young, all show off their skillsβ¦. It was pretty cool.
If you hadnt said it ,Id have never questioned it,. Great Jobβ€οΈβ€οΈπ
Ahhh, this had got a couple of influences here I hear , definitely Flatt and Skruggs , Beverly Hillbilly theme song vibe , and one of my favorite Southen Rock bands , The Outlaws , Afraid of you vibe.
Those banjo playing lessons paud off, yep this song is Is pure Black Gold , Texas Tea β¦.nice job Jude
It DOES remind me of “So Afraid” by the Outlaws.
yess
Love the banjo energy. I attempted a country tune for a film opportunity a couple years ago. They wanted a “Folsom Prison Blues” clone. Good thing I had a Telecaster at the time – fun project!
Great song! I wish “country” still sounded like this and if I could play a banjo even half as well as this I would be mighty mighty proud of myself.
I know some really great banjo players so, this is novice stuff. I always say it takes a great right hand… and i’ve been practicing my right hand techniques for a very long time π
Jude picking a banjo and playing bluegrass! Love it!

Great song, Jude! It sounds like you know plenty–Pickin’ and Grinnin’ with the best of them! ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»

Love it!! When I was much younger Jerry Douglass and his dad played with my uncle Ray Sponaugle. Still a bluegrass fan to this day.
