In 1990 life was an open road. It’s interesting to watch now. All I’ve ever seen is the actual video, but hearing myself interviewed, seeing others at work but at ease so to speak… it’s like looking at a snowglobe on the credenza. You pick it up, shake it and go ‘wow!’. It was a day in the life. Kiefer was the sweetest friend. Joel Schumacher was amazing, supportive and kind. Lori was my new girlfriend and together we started a family that’s as close now as it’s ever been. Together, with Vanessa, and I can’t understate her role in all of it, I’m grateful. And also it’s much like I feel when I watch an old movie, then look up the players. You see a film or two, a few articles, a wikipedia page of the life and times, the passing, and there you have it- the arc of a life. I’m still alive and well, still hungry to create more, but this was a surprise VHS find. Hope you enjoy it ❤️

Quick question: In the final version of the video, there is an added electric guitar that becomes more prominent in the mix during the choruses. Was that your idea, the record company, or others idea? I’m always curious as to why “radio” versions are altered versions of the studio/album versions…
Love the behind-the-scenes view! Thanks so much for sharing!
I have always loved this album and I still listen to it frequently. I just love your voice:)
I see that in the youtube comments you deleted the post by the talent agent that has no talent or clients to show for himself. I was going to blast him from being classless, but somehow his rude comment has disappeared. Like Mom said.. “if you dont have anything nice to say….dont say it at all ” I’m saying nice things… Great look behind the scenes, incredible message and life lessons in the song. The line that kills me the most: “No words can bring back your affections, No lies can keep me holding on.” Wow Jude… thats digging deep.
ha, yes talent agent in his own hallucinations. when you put yourself out there, you get a lot of it. i pay no mind anymore… you’re just gone.
Thank you for sharing this behind the scenes look. Everyone did a great job on that video. Still in all my YouTube lists. Keep these gems coming please and belated Happy New Year to everyone!

Enjoyed and loved the B Roll video, Jude
Heres to a Happy ,Healthy New Year to us all ,
Wow Jude ! It’s great seeing Kiefer, Lori , and you still in your youth 🙂 No one having a clue what the future would hold. As always seems to be the case, nothing turns out the way we plan or think it might . <3
Brilliant. I totally get it. I’ll watch an old movie with a wonderful character actor and wonder what happened to him. Read the articles, check his IMDB to see other works and read his bio on Wikipedia.
Life goes by so fast. So fast that sometimes you don’t even have time enough to enjoy the moment.
When I listen to 3rd street it takes me back to a wonderful time in my life when I was young, single and just starting out in business. Good times and great music.
Best wishes in 2026 Jude. Glad to hear you say, there’s more left in you.
Ditto to what Lynn Ellison said.
Hi, Jude! Happy Belated New Year! Thank you so much for sharing this with your fans. It was a true “Blast from the Past”! Of course, your music was beautiful; and it was fun to be a “fly on the wall” and to see what all was going on in the background. It also brought back a lot of sweet memories from my life during that time. I hope that you and yours are well; and I hope that you will “touch base” every once in a while to let everyone know that you’re doing well. 😁 ❤️ Lynn
Thank you Lynn HNY to you!
