Ironworks Era Zippos 2007 Giveaway

A few years ago we had some brutal rains.  Between this and the scorching heat of summer, one of the shipping crates here, containing all my old management files, contracts, master tapes and much of the memorabilia from the Ironworks Records years were ruined.

What I did manage to salvage were items that were securely stored in plastic bins and tucked away under other bins.

Today we’re giving away 3 Zippo lighters from the period of 2007/2008.

There is a Lifehouse “Who We Are” lighter with the originally intended artwork.  The label head at the time pulled a power move and said they wouldn’t release a record with a clown on the cover.  You figure that one out.  Some kind of personal superstition I suppose.  It broke our hearts because the entire record’s art was built around this Carnival Sideshow motif, and only this cover would have made it all make sense.

Instead we ended up with a pretty-boy photo of the guys on the cover, then all these sideshow paintings inside.  Made no sense at all.  Suffice to say this lighter is extremely rare!

Then there’s a “24” lighter we had made in honor of the success of the show at the time.

Last, a lighter for the documentary Ironworks released called “I Trust You To Kill Me’.

All yours, all you have to do is subscribe and win!

Jude

This is so bitter sweet. Exited to see what lays ahead…. I remember driving and sitting outside ironworks years ago just to feel the excitement. I chickened out and did not go in. But it was pretty cool 😎

Keep ‘em coming! Love seeing these items and reading their stories. So much that doesn’t make sense unless you have all the pieces. Thanks for sharing the stories most of all but also the items with your biggest fans.

and Just like that… another Item we can do without… I remember the days of My Uncle Mick…2.5 yrs older than me.. and we had the same name. that all the guys carried the ZIPPO… Pull out the Red Marlboro pack.. click the Zippo and off to Cig Heaven.. Glad I never took on the noble cause.. lol Funny thing about Unk and his Band of Merry Men.. sooo they had Pop Top Beer Cans.. They garnered every Pull tab they could find and made Spider webs in Mike Ryans Bedroom on the Ceiling form them.. .. as well as saved all the Red Marlboro Boxes and made Basically Wall paper out of them.. Mike and the Men would leave after determining who had Money, Weed and more.. and off they would go to Reak hell on the Unsuspecting.. While Mike’s younger Brother.. My Best Friend Shawn and I, would sneak into the Den of Desire to spin the Favorite tunes and work out on the Foosball Table they left us to challenge.. Be Bop Deluxe, Utopia and Bowie sang the Early Highlights..

Nice! Sorry about the reason for it, though.

I hearya ’bout rain ruining things.
I’m in Central Texas, only an hour away from the flooding in Kerr County that took the lives of 85 people – half of that being the 27 little girls and 2 owners of the camp Mysitc just last week.
Water “jus don’t care where it go”…. more than a cliche’.
    Rock on Jude!

King L – Great Day For Gravity has a clown on the cover and it’s a masterpiece.

Criminally, it didn’t sell all that well either.

Very interesting about the clown. Crazy label decisions. I hope to win a brick from the studio building haha. Jude, is there a possibility of any guitar picks used or otherwise? ♥️
